Christ the Lord is Risen today

At the time of this photo my church should be finishing up Windsor’s Toccata.   I love this song…so happy yet powerful when heard on a great organ.  It makes me think of jesus walking through a garden of dancing butterflies.   The deep notes of the song playing slow and strong are his footsteps while the fast light notes are the dancing butterflies all around him.

My favorite song on Easter is “Christ the Lord is Risen Today” ….. not only for the melody but for the words:

Christ the Lord is Risen Today Alleluiua
Earth & heaven in chorus say Alleluiua
Raise your joys & triumphs high Alleluiua
Sing ye heavens & earth reply Alleluiua
Loves redeeming work is done Alleluiua
Fought the fight the battle won Alleluiua
Death in vain forbids him rise Alleluiua
Christ has opened paradise Alleluiua
Lives again our glorious king Alleluiua
Where o death is now thy sing Alleluiua
Once he died our souls to save Alleluiua
Where’s thy victory boasting grave Alleluiua
Soar we now where Christ has led Alleluiua
Following our exalted head Alleluiua
Made like him like him we rise Alleluiua
Ours the cross the grave the skies Alleluiua
Hail the Lord of earth and heaven Alleluiua
Praise to thee by both be given Alleluiua
Thee we greet triumphant now Alleluiua
Hail the resurrection thou Alleluiua
King of glory soul of bliss Alleluiua
Everlasting life is this Alleluiua
Thee too know thy power to prove Alleluiua
Thus to sing and thus to love Alleluiua

This is the day the Lord has made
Blessings and love

You are so right when you say this is the Day that the LORD has given us. The sooner we all realize this the better off we will be. GOD BLESS US ALL…
